Besselink Master Painters is a third generation family business which has been servicing the Canberra region since 1952. The company was started as “Besselink Bros” by Cor and Rin Besselink.
Elton Willis and Jeremy Zutt are grandsons of Cor Besselink and have been running the Company since 1998, keeping the same company ethic of “Quality work on time” they strive to uphold the quality workmanship.
The company has a core group of long term employees, some of whom have been with us for 30+ years. Jobs undertaken by the company over the years have been many and varied, mainly larger buildings in Canberra and district. We also specialize in heritage work and are listed in the Heritage trust Register as well as being accredited with lead based paint removal certification.
The Company has a very sound record in OH&S.
All of our personnel have had training in site safety (White Card) and asbestos awareness.
We have a Risk Management system in place and all our employees are covered for Workers Compensation, Public Liability and Superannuation.
The business is now mainly focused on maintenance painting, in particular Owners corporation complexes, Embassies, and many iconic Government buildings within the ACT.
Being that we are one of the oldest locally started and owned business’ in Canberra, we take pride in our name and reputation, as we hope to carry the business down through to the next generations.
Besselink Master Painters specialise in the repainting of Owners Corporation complexes, and other building maintenance painting. We have set up our business to cater for the special needs of this type of work.
Besselink Master Painters have been doing the Canberra Boys Grammar maintenance painting for the last 40 years, and we are currently part way through a 10 year painting agreement with Radford College.

Besselink Master Painters Pty.Ltd. have a team of renderers on staff to carry out necessary render repairs and other general render work.
We are able to cater for all types of rendering services from minor patching work, to complete rendering of multi-storey buildings.
Render maintenance patching including-
- Rusty corner bead removal and replacement.
- Brick (crack) stitching.
- Textures and bagged finished.
- Complete building render work.
- Rendering over various substrates.
- General render patching.
All of our employees are covered by Workers Compensation, and Public Liability to the value of $20 Million.
We can provide job specific Safe work method statements to detail our proposed methods of carrying out our work safely.
We are members of the Master Painters Association, and HIA. Elton Willis (Director) is currently President of the ACT Master Painters Association, and Chairman of Master Painters Australia Limited (Peak industry body).
As the ACT does not currently have licencing for the Painting trade, being a member of the MPA with a code of ethics and high standards, is peace of mind for the consumer.

Besselink Master Painters are qualified Enviropainters, and we consider the environment in all aspects of our work.
We make use of an Envirowash system which is set up at our workshop, where we take our washing out water for cleaning.
